Hajia Laure the mother of AA Zaura, Kano Central Senatorial District candidate of the All progressive Congress, who was abducted twenty-four hours ago in Kano State has been rescued by security operatives in Jigawa state.
Hajia Laure had been abducted in the wee hours of Monday, in her House at Zaura village in Kano State.
She was rescued by the DSS operatives who had traced the kidnappers to Jigawa state. She was rescued alongside another aged lady, whom they said had paid about two million naira out of her ten million naira ransom that the abductors had demanded. The police had also arrested two people in connection with the abductions and their identities are not been disclosed to the public.
According to a top official of DSS, he said “it is true that we have saved Laure in Jigawa State, this came after a serious tip-off by our men. We tracked her in Jigawa and saved her unharmed.”
