Officers of the Edo State Police Command have arrested an official of the Nigerian Navy, 25-year-old Ibrahim Adamu; and an operative of the Nigerian Correctional Service, 26-year-old Abdullahi Abdulwahab over a purported car snatching and armed robbery.

According to the state Police Public Relations Officer, SP Chidi Nwabuzor, the suspects had been arrested in military uniforms in Ekpoma by operatives who had acted based on credible information.

According to reports, the suspects had attacked the driver of an unregistered C300 Mercedes Benz car in Delta State, snatching the car from him and forcing him to transfer the sum of N400,000 to their account but had, unfortunately for them, been caught by Police officials in Ekpoma, Delta State trying to transport the car to Abuja to sell it off.
