The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has re-arrested the social media personality Idris Okuneye, alias Bobrisky, at Murtala Mohammed International Airport on Thursday evening, days after he was granted bail. Sources said that Bobrisky, who was attempting to board a flight to London, had already cleared immigration when he was arrested. The aircraft was stopped on the runway before take off and Bobrisky whisked away before stunned passengers.
Immediately after his arrest, Bobrisky took to Instagram to say, “Nigerians help me, EFCC just arrested me. I’m badly injured.” The incident comes after his recent detention by Nigeria Immigration Service at the Seme border, where he reportedly attempted to leave the country.
His troubles started after an audio clip surfaced claiming that he had influential connections that allowed him to serve his jail sentence outside of Kirikiri prison.
