Eight persons dies as a truck fell from Ojuelegba inwards Fadeyi on Sunday.
Olufemi Oke-Osayintolu the permanent secretary of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, revealed in a statement that men of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority are currently on the ground to rescue the Victims.
He further said that they’ve removed the truck from the bus but they are still trying to clear it off the road, that’s why there’s a backlog of traffic at Alaka he further advised those trapped in the traffic to be patient or find an alternative means to leave the area.
“A container laden truck has fallen on a bus at Ojuelegba, inwards Fadeyi. The effort is currently being made towards rescue and evacuation,” the statement by the Permanent Secretary of the agency, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, read.
“Recovery of the fallen container is still ongoing, though it has been taken off on top of the minibus but is yet to be completely removed from the location, traffic is still on hold, and we have a backlog of traffic presently at Alaka.
“Kindly exercise patience or find an alternative if you are not trapped in the traffic,” he added.
Reports have it that only nine persons were rescued alive from the incident.
