Nollywood actress Eniola Ajao has finally addressed long-standing rumors linking her romantically with popular actor Odunlade Adekola.
The speculation resurfaced after a video circulated last week showing Ajao seemingly avoiding the camera during the burial ceremony of Odunlade’s father, sparking renewed criticism online.
Over the years, the actress has frequently been at the center of gossip suggesting a personal relationship with her senior colleague. But in a series of Instagram story posts on Wednesday, she firmly dismissed the claims, describing them as deliberate attempts to dent her reputation.
Ajao explained that she does not feel the need to react to every false claim made about her. According to her, she “can’t fix every lie and rumour,” stressing that “life hits differently when you stop to prove you didn’t do that, or you are not like that.”
Expanding further, she wrote: “You can’t fix every lie and rumour, nor can you defend yourself every time. Just be great. People may destroy your image, stain your personality, but they can’t take away your good deeds because no matter how they describe you, you will still be admired by those who know you better.”
