The family of popular actress and social media personality Monalisa Ayobami Stephen has released details regarding her final rites following her sudden death last week.
In an official statement shared via her verified Instagram account on Tuesday, the family revealed that a private burial will take place on Thursday, May 22, 2025, with the interment scheduled for noon.
Monalisa reportedly passed away on Tuesday, May 13, in Lagos. Her death has been attributed to complications from low blood sugar and internal bleeding.
Seun Oloketuyi, founder of the Best of Nollywood Awards, first broke the news of her passing on Instagram, writing:
“Brand influencer Monalisa Ayobami Stephen is dead. She died yesterday in Lagos after losing the fight against low sugar and internal bleeding.”
