It is no news that fans of the Warner Bros film have since been clamoring for the sack of the actress from the movie. The petition created in 2020, on Change.org, a website known for its petitions and providing the public access to social change has asked for Amber Heard to be ejected from the sequel to the movie, Aquaman and has very nearly attained its goal. The petition list has purportedly reached 4.43 million signings as against the goal of 4.5 million signatures. The petition cites: “As Amber Heard is a known and a verified domestic abuser, Warner Brothers, and DC Entertainment should and must discard Heard from their Aquaman 2 film project. They must not ignore the suffering of Heard’s victims and must not glamorize a domestic abuser”

There have been several petitions against Heard over the recent years when the lawsuit against Depp began. The first appeal against her was in 2020 when an online petition demanded that the same caution be exercised on amber Heard as was exercised on Johnny Depp, who was removed from the film: ‘Fantastic Beasts: The secrets of Dumbledore’ which was the third installment on the Harry Potter prequel saga.

The clamor of fans demanding the immediate sack of Amber Heard has been getting stronger recently. But, Warner Bros is yet to replace the actress. However, Amber Heard has acknowledged that her role in the upcoming movie, Aquaman 2, was cut down because of the mutual abuse allegations her ex-husband Johnny Depp, has labeled against her. The actress’s testimony on the 16th of May cites her saying that her ex-husband’s “sophisticated PR machine” dubbed her a liar in the public, leading to her getting a reduced role in the Aquaman sequel and also being removed from sponsoring brands as well.
