A 28 years man has been arrested by the Ogun state police Command for allegedly raping his 5-year-old daughter, who according to the law is still a minor and cannot give consent.
This information was revealed by the Ogun State Police Spokesperson, Abimbola Oyeyemi who in a Statement on Thursday, May 25, stated that the mother of the girl discovered that anytime she tried to wash her private part while bathing her she screams out in pain.
Upon cajoling, the child had revealed that her father normally lays her on the bed and inputs his manhood into her vagina whenever the mum is not around.
On hearing this, the victim’s mum immediately lodged a complaint at the Ijebu-Mushin Divisional headquarters, where the DPO immediately called for the arrest of the Suspect.
The Suspect upon interrogation confessed to committing the act.
Meanwhile, the State Commissioner, Olarewaju Oladimeji has ordered the case to be transferred to the Criminal Investigation Department.
