Ayodele Fayose, the Governor of Ekiti State, has warned the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, against removing Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, from the party.
Fayose had cautioned that the PDP would be banishing Wike from the party at its own peril because he (Wike) was a force to be reckoned with, in the party.
The former governor had made the warning while featuring on Channels Television’s Hard Copy.
In Fayose’s words:
“Wike is a force (of nature) in both the PDP and beyond PDP, a (great) force you just cannot ignore. Ignore Wike, dismiss Wike, or fight Wike at your own peril. He is a man of power.”
Recall that there have been increased clamours for the PDP to sack Wike from the party, after his decision to support APC’s President Bola Tinubu during February’s presidential election.
However, the recently appointed Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, had announced that nobody could run him off from the country’s former ruling party.
