Femi Adebayo’s epic Yoruba movie, Jagun Jagun, has secured a total of twelve nominations at the 2024 Best of Nollywood Awards, BON. In a feat that projects the Netflix Original film is one to reckon with, it nets nominations for key categories such as Best Indigenous Film, Best Supporting Actor, Director of the Year, Best Cinematography, Best Costume, and Best Actress.

Commenting on the news, Adebayo took to X to say, “Wow Guys! We’ve done it Again!! JAGUN JAGUN – THE WARRIOR has been nominated for Twelve Awards at the 2024 BON Awards.” The movie has been hailed for the high level of richness in showcasing Yoruba culture, stellar performances, and high production values.

While Jagun Jagun, released in 2023, is still making waves in Nollywood, the film received nominations just days after its receiving seven nods at the 2024 AMAA. The film has resonated with audiences both locally and globally, thanks to its accessibility through Netflix.

Big and bold in its storytelling and technical brilliancies, Jagun Jagun has grown into one of the highFlyers of Nollywood. The 2024 BON Awards are around the corner, and the industry salivates at the prospect of how many of those twelve nominations will materialize into wins.
