The federal government has officially launched the upgraded Citizens’ Delivery Tracker App, fulfilling its proposal to provide Nigerians with access to ministry deliverables and key performance indicators (KPIs) while allowing them to provide feedback.
This initiative aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s commitment, made during a cabinet retreat, to ensure citizen involvement in government tracking and management processes.
The tracker can be accessed at app.cdcu.gov.ng and is downloadable from the Google Play Store and Apple Store.
Hadiza Usman, Special Adviser to the President on Policy and Coordination and Head of the Central Delivery Coordination Unit (CDCU), announced the app’s launch at a go-live event in Abuja.
Usman explained that the CDCU, with support from development partners and consultants, conducted bilateral meetings with ministers, permanent secretaries, and technical teams over six weeks to define ministry mandates, presidential priorities, deliverables, and KPIs.
The Citizens’ Delivery Tracker App allows citizens to access federal government priority programs and projects on their devices, promoting transparency and accountability.
Usman emphasized that the tracker would evolve continuously to improve user experience and foster a robust feedback mechanism between citizens and the government.
Obialunanma Nnaobi-Ayodele, Co-Chair (Non-State Actors) of the Open Government Partnership, Nigeria, expressed excitement about the app’s launch, highlighting the administration’s dedication to enhancing citizen participation, engagement, and inclusion in governance.
