Nigerian production house by the name of FilmOne Studios has unveiled that it will be launching its original production Farmer’s Bride next year. The upcoming release of this period drama is scheduled for 27th August, 2024 in cinemas all around the country and the movie will surely not leave its viewers indifferent.
For the release of the film, FilmOne Studios is set to launch a teaser trailer, character posters and the full trailer to give Fans the glimpse of the Farmer’s Bride.

Farmer’s Bride brings the audience to the ’80s Ibadan with the protagonist focused around Odun, a rich but lonely farmer who wants a wife. His young wife, Funmi, joins the marriage with the best of expectations but is left frustrated after a short-time of the marriage. It becomes worse when Funmi gets involved in an extramarital affair with his Odun’s nephew, thus provoking a series of repercussions that transform the love story into a scary story of love, betrayal and voodoo mastery.
The movie’s plot touches such issues as loneliness, passion, and the price that people pay when surrendering to their passions. In dynamism of the relations within the characters, the viewers are offered a universe where every decision matters.
