Nollywood star Tonto Dikeh has opened up about her spiritual transformation, sharing a deeply personal story of how the Holy Spirit guided her through seven major struggles in her life.

In a touching post on Instagram, the actress and mother of one reflected on her journey from emotional chaos to peace, describing it as a divine rebirth that reshaped her character, emotions, and daily habits.

Dikeh revealed that one of her biggest struggles was uncontrollable anger, which she said once cost her meaningful relationships and opportunities.

“There was a time I had a fuse so short it could set everything ablaze. I mistook my pain for strength, but it was only destroying me,” she admitted.

According to her, true transformation began when she fully surrendered herself to God and allowed Him to fill her heart with calmness and understanding.

The actress also spoke honestly about her past experiences with depression and deep emotional pain, revealing that she once reached a point of despair where she even attempted suicide.

“I was living as both the wound and the weapon. Depression was my companion; I wore pain like a second skin until God said, ‘Rise,’ and I did,” she shared.

Dikeh noted that the healing process has helped her develop compassion toward others, especially those struggling with pain and brokenness.

“When I see people acting from a place of pain, I don’t condemn them; I pray for them. I know how it feels to lose yourself while trying to survive,” she said.

The movie star further revealed that as part of her renewed walk with God, she has embraced celibacy and turned away from sexual immorality.

Looking back on her past, Dikeh reflected, “I gave my life to Christ after secondary school but took His love for granted. Life humbled me, and through that pain, I returned to my first love, God.”
