Los Angeles-based Fly By Jing has voluntarily initiated a nationwide recall for select lots of its Creamy Sesame Noodles due to possible peanut contamination. The company discovered that a third-party manufacturer used shared equipment that also processes peanuts — conditions that could pose a serious health risk to individuals with peanut allergies.

“People who have allergies to peanuts run the risk of a serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products,” the U.S. Food and Drug Administration warned.

Which Products Are Affected?

The recall applies to specific lots of Fly By Jing’s Creamy Sesame Noodles, described as a protein-packed vegan noodle product. The affected products include single and four-pack containers with lot codes 8-50052-23988-6 and 8-50052-23991-6. The impacted products carry best‑by dates of October 15, 2026, December 6, 2026, and March 23, 2027.

The products were distributed nationwide through the company’s website and retail stores, including Whole Foods Market and Thrive Market. The company added that the products may also have been sold on TikTok. The affected items were distributed to retailers between February 1, 2026, and May 8, 2026.

What the Company Is Doing

“We take food quality and safety seriously, and we are deeply sorry for any concern this causes. We are committed to making this right for every customer,” Fly By Jing said.

The company said it immediately stopped distribution, notified customers and retail partners, and placed all remaining inventory on hold. Fly By Jing has also implemented stricter allergen controls with its third-party manufacturer to help prevent future issues.

The company is offering full refunds to those who purchased the affected items. Customers can return the products to their retailer for a full refund, and those who bought the items through the company’s website or TikTok Shop will also be contacted directly.

No other products from the brand were included in the safety alert.

What Consumers Should Do

Anyone with a peanut allergy who has purchased Fly By Jing Creamy Sesame Noodles should check the lot codes and best‑by dates immediately. If the product matches the recall criteria, do not consume it. Return it to the place of purchase for a full refund or contact the company directly.

The recall is a precaution, but for those with severe peanut allergies, the risk is real. Peanut allergies affect approximately 6 million Americans, and exposure can trigger reactions ranging from hives to anaphylaxis, which can be fatal without immediate treatment.

The Bottom Line

Fly By Jing has issued a nationwide recall of select lots of its Creamy Sesame Noodles due to possible peanut contamination from shared manufacturing equipment. The affected products were sold at Whole Foods Market, Thrive Market, the company’s website, and potentially on TikTok between February 1 and May 8, 2026. Customers with peanut allergies should not consume the product and can return it for a full refund. The company says it has stopped distribution and implemented stricter allergen controls.

For millions of Americans with peanut allergies, a quick meal just became a potential health scare. Check your pantry.
