Nigeria’s former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, and his wife, Beatrice Ekweremadu, have both been found guilty of organ trafficking in the United Kingdom.
The pair alongside their daughter, Sonia, and a medical doctor, Dr. Obinna Obeta, had been declared guilty of enabling the travel of a young man to Britain to exploit him after a grueling six-week trial at the Old Bailey.
Meanwhile, the judge, Justice Jeremy Johnson, who can be declared the pair guilty will be passing a sentence at a later date that will be communicated to the public in due time.
