Four abducted Imo Catholic Sisters released

The four Catholic Reverend nuns who were abducted last Sunday at Ihube along the Okigwe-Enugu route have been freed without harm. On their way to morning mass, the four women, named Sisters Johannes Nwodo, Christabel Echemazu, Liberata Mbamalu, and Benita Agu, were kidnapped. 

The four sisters were unconditionally released, according to a statement made by Sr. Zita Ihedoro, secretary general of The Sisters of Jesus, on Tuesday. The liberation of four of our sisters who were kidnapped on August 21, 2022, in the Okigwe-Umulolo axis was announced by the Sisters of Jesus the Saviour with hearts full of joy.
