With the countdown marking less than 25 days to the general elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has stated that the scarcity of the Premium Motor Spirit, PMS popularly called petrol, could affect the movement of election materials and election personnel.

The INEC Chairman, Mahmood Yakubu, made this known in a meeting with the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURW in FCT Abuja on Tuesday, January 30.

But Yakubu had said that the commission would be holding a meeting with the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, NNPC Ltd to tackle any issues that might affect logistics delivery and personnel movement on the scheduled election day.
