Nollywood actress and producer Funke Akindele has made history with her film Behind The Scenes, which has become the highest-grossing Nollywood release in the United Kingdom and Ireland, raking in £159,000.
The film has also performed exceptionally well in West Africa, grossing N2.7 billion and securing its place among the biggest Nollywood releases to date.
Its distributor, FilmOne Entertainment, celebrated the milestone as “a record-breaking run” and “a defining moment for African cinema.”

The movie has also set a new benchmark in North America, becoming the highest-grossing Nollywood film in the US and Canada, earning $249,000.
On Instagram, the distributor shared:
