Gospel Star and Fashion Designer Ties The Knot In Style

Gospel singer Peterson Okopi married his sweetheart, Prudent Gabriel, on October 14, 2024, in a traditional wedding so elaborate the whole town was talking about it. With a bride who is one of the fashion world’s most prized designers and a groom whose pipes can make the angels cry, you know this was no ordinary ceremony, but a show, folks.

Guests were dressed to the nines in some of the most jaw-dropping outfits we have seen in a while. The colour palette? A breath of fresh air; this exquisite mix of blue and pink just made one look like they were all catwalk-ready.

The men rocked the regal Akwa Ibom style-from the lace wrappers and white shirts down to the caps that sealed the deal-paying homage to where the couple was from. And the ladies? They were pure fire. They arrived in latticed blue lace gowns and paired them with bright pink gele that could be seen from a mile away. And, of course, the fashion would be off the charts; after all, the bride rules at the fashion runway, and her guests made sure to rise to the occasion.

But the real showstopper came when Peterson and Prudent hit the dance floor. The song “Iyawo Mi” by Timi Dakolo started playing, and all of a sudden, Peterson went so low in rhythm; you would have thought his knees were made of rubber. Not wanting to be outsmarted, Prudent joined in; the excitement turned pure rhythm as they swayed in sync. The newlyweds got on the dance floor, turning it into a mini concert of their own when the DJ changed things up with D’Banj’s “Fall In Love.” And just when the crowd thought it couldn’t get any better, the eye-gazing and smooth moves kept the entire room in awe. This wedding wasn’t just a celebration; it was a cultural moment.
