Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, yesterday, October 1, cautioned criminals to stay away from the state.
Umahi had made the statement while marking Nigeria’s 62nd independence anniversary and the 26th anniversary of the creation of Ebonyi State.
Umahi then went on to remark that those behind the murders in the state were known gunmen and would be exposed in due time by the Closed-Circuit Television -CCTV cameras installed in various parts of the state. Additionally, new video surveillance would soon be launched to further expose crime and criminality in the state according to the Ebonyi State Governor.
Residents of the state had also been assured of peaceful elections in 2023.
“We will not discriminate against any party during the exercise,” he had said.
The governor finally, commended security agencies and development partners for their contributions to the growth and development of the state while appreciating the people of Ebonyi for their support, solidarity, and encouragement to his administration.
