Guardiola Gets Major Boost as Rodri, Foden Return for Tottenham Clash

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has confirmed that he will have a great advantage a great advantage for his important match next Saturday against Tottenham Hotspur, as Phil Foden and Rodri have returned.

After resting for a short time, the two midfielders who did not fly to Wolverhampton for City’s 4-0 win at the start of the Premier League are “ready for tomorrow”.

Their return is a timely uplift for the champions who will be eager to keep their excellent start to the season going. Guardiola remarked that aside from Mateo Kovacic, Josko Gvardiol, and Savinho, everyone is available.

When asked about the encounter with Spurs, Guardiola said that historically they had been a very hard opponent. “Spurs have been a nightmare for us, but it is a new season and everything is different,” he said, referring to past results.

City’s manager also spoke highly of Thomas Frank, the new Spurs manager, saying that he was convinced that he would make it at a “big, big club” and that, while he is coming, we should be patient with him having his own way.

The coming back of his star performers especially of Rodri who is the “best player in the world” will be very important when City have to face their old adversaries.
