Yet-to-be-identified gunmen have abducted an official of the Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps, Popoola Olasupo, on his way to his duty post together with one other member of the corps.
Olasupo had reportedly been abducted around 6.30 am on Sunday around the Eledumare-Fidiwo axis of the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway in the Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area of Ogun State.
An anonymous source who confirmed the incident revealed that the gunmen had emerged from the bush to open fire on a commercial bus in which the official had been traveling in. Reports had it that he was the only one abducted.
Meanwhile, policemen and a few volunteers are currently on the trail of the gunmen.
