About Seven people have been killed in the latest attack at Danda Chugwi community in Jos South local government area of Plateau State by gunmen suspected to be among the militia herdsmen.
National Publicity Secretary of the Berom Youth Moulders Association, -BYMA, Rwang Tengwong, who confirmed the attack on Monday morning, reported that the gunmen invaded the community at about 10 pm on Sunday and began shooting sporadically, thereby forcing the residents to flee for safety.
The attack on the Danda Chugwi community in Southern Jos happened on Sunday, 31st July 2022, at around 10:00 pm.
“The attack was carried out by the Fulani herdsmen militia. Seven people have been confirmed dead while several others who sustained serious gunshot wounds have been taken to Vom Christian hospital for immediate and quick medical attention,” Tengwong had said.
The incident has yet to be confirmed by the State Police Public Relations Officer -PPRO, DSP Alabo Alfred as calls and text messages sent on his phones were not responded to at the time of this report.
