A draft resolution by the Caribbean nation’s transitional presidential council, (viewed by Reuters) has revealed that Haiti will name Alix Didier Fils-Aime to succeed its prime minister, Garry Conille, who was appointed to the role in May.
The council will name Didier Fils-Aime, an entrepreneur, as prime minister, according to the resolution, which was dated Monday, Nov. 11.
This resolution is hoped to be published in the official gazette.
Haiti’s transition council in May tapped Conille, who briefly led the country over ten years ago, to return to the role of prime minister as the Caribbean nation attempts to restore stability and take back control from violent gangs.
