Vector, a Nigerian rapper and songwriter, wrote an emotional note on his Instagram page in memory of his late friend and rapper Sound Sultan. He remembered an incident that happened when he was writing the intro of his song Teslim, he recalled getting stuck on one of the lines and if Sound Sultan had been alive he would have helped. He revealed that he is still struggling to accept the reality of Sound Sultan’s death.

He wrote that “I was recording the intro to Teslim, then the following lines happened…..

“I realize the baby mama drama is the worst part of being a father and I should have been like @Sound Sultan if you saw my “D” it means my brother…

“I don’t know how to deal with anything other than accepting fate, even after death”

It seems that the reality of Sound Sultan’s death is gritting the faces of family and loved ones. Just a year after his death, many people are still trying to accept the fact that he is dead. Burna Boy, the Afrofusion artist, berated himself for not speaking to Sound Sultan before his death in one of the lines of his just-released album, Love Damini. Not long ago we saw an emotional video of 2 face Idibia bringing flowers to Sound Sultan’s grave with tears streaming down his face.

It is really hard to accept his loss, we pray that he rests in peace
