Tottenham Hotspur striker, Son Heung-Min has said that he is not bothered about his lack of goals this season, as he believes that he’ll still improve.
Compared to last season, Son had a total of 23 goals for Tottenham which earned him the premier league golden boot alongside Mohammed Salah.
This season has been quite challenging for Son as he hasn’t scored any goals in seven appearances this season, nevertheless, his coach and teammates have total trust and faith in his capabilities.
Speaking on his goal draught, Son said that, if the situation were to be that he wasn’t getting chances, then he’ll be bothered but this is not the case, as he is getting chances. It’s just that he has been unlucky in some games, but he believes he’ll pull through.
He further admitted that it gets to him at times, whenever he misses an opportunity to score, but he’ll just laugh it off.
“I’m OK. If I’m honest, if I wasn’t getting chances in the game I would be worried but I’m still getting chances,” Son said.
“In some games, there have been unlucky moments. In some games, it has been a bad finish. This is going to make me stronger.
“This is something I can see will be an improvement because I still have a lot of space for improvement.
“Most important is that we are doing well as a team. I’ll do everything the team needs.
“In some games, I get frustrated because if I have some massive chances and the ball doesn’t go in. It makes me just laugh.
Son is highly loved by Tottenham Hotspur head coach, Antonio Conte. If we can recall, he once said that if he is to pick a Suitor for his daughter, he’ll definitely pick Son
