Rumours were being spread that Marseille is making arrangements to sign world legendary player, Christiano Ronaldo from Manchester United. Pablo Longoria has come out to debunk such rumours.
As we all know, Ronaldo desperately wants to feature in the Champions league, and this is something old Trafford cannot give to him, as Manchester United didn’t qualify for the champions league due to their poor performance last season. All efforts to get him a new club that will feature in the champions league has proved abortive, as most clubs do not want him due to his age, and his wage factor
According to Longoria, such rumours are fake news, as Ronaldo does not fit as a reality for them, and they want reality.
“It’s the social media world full of fake news.
“We want reality. Ronaldo deal is not for us.
“It’d be like saying that De Bruyne or Haaland are OM targets… let’s focus on our real project”.
Longoria said
If we can recall, Athletico Madrid manager also came out to debunk rumours of him signing Ronaldo, not because he’s not a good player, as he regards Ronaldo as one of the greatest players the world has ever produced, but Ronaldo will not fit into his club philosophy and systems.
