The suspension on the Students Union of the Ibadan Poly has been lifted by the school management after some interventions were made. If we can recall, the Ibadan Poly students Union was suspended due to the riot carried out by the students.
The students blocked the school gate, and the ever-busy Sango junction led to heavy traffic. The students were protesting over the refusal of the management to reduce the hostel fees that were recently hiked.
According to the management, a meeting will be scheduled with the students Union
leaders to discuss their grievances.
However the first semester exams slated to hold on Monday remain postponed, a new date will be communicated to the students.
“The management will be holding meetings with the leadership of the students to
address their perceived grievances.
“The first semester examinations scheduled to commence today (Monday) however
remain postponed. A new date for the commencement of the examination will be
announced to the students through appropriate channels,” the statement added.
