The current largest cryptocurrency exchange, Binance, has appointed former First Bank of Nigeria -FBN Holdings chairman, Ibukun Awosika, to its board.
Awosika had joined the advisory board, together with nine others, as Binance is beginning its aim to strengthen ties with regulators across the globe, especially as governments keep releasing cryptocurrency regulations.
Awosika was appointed alongside Max Bacus, the Former U.S. Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China; Hyung-Rin Bang, the current advisor of the Korea Presidential Committee; and Bruno Bézard, the managing partner at Cathay Capital, the former economic advisor to the French Prime Minister and the ex-head of the French Treasury according to a statement released on Thursday, 22 September 2022.
Remember that Awosika had resigned from her position at First Bank following a faceoff with the financial industry regulator at the CBN prompting several others on the board at that time to resign as well.
