Orji Kalu had said on Tuesday, 21 March that it was now his turn to preside over the country’s upper legislative chamber, the Senate.
Kalu, who had won the re-election as the representative of Abia North, South East Nigeria in the Senate, had remarked that if he becomes the president of the 10th National Assembly, he will team up with Nigeria.
While addressing reporters at the National Assembly on Tuesday morning, March 21, Kalu remarked that as a ranking lawmaker from the South East, it was his turn to become the Senate President of Nigeria.
Meanwhile, APC senators have been eyeing the Senate presidency and have been encouraging their colleagues to seek their support.
