Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has finally addressed the persistent rumours linking her to the controversial anonymous blog, Gistlover.
The speculation, which has been circulating for months, suggested that the actress was secretly behind the popular gossip platform.
In a recent interview with comedian AY Makun, which surfaced on X on Sunday, Iyabo firmly denied having any connection to the blog. She clarified that many of the posts shared by Gistlover often stem from individuals within her circle.
“One thing I found out about Gistlover is that it is the people close to you who take your information to Gistlover. Sometimes the information is wrong, but they still take it,” she said.
The actress expressed disbelief over the accusations, questioning why she would expose her own private life or involve her daughter if she were indeed the one running the blog.
“Some people accused me of owning Gistlover. I was shocked when they said Iyabo Ojo is Gistlover. If I am, will I post about my life and also drag my daughter on Gistlover?” she asked.
“Is it for the money or fame? The rubbish that was written about me having threesomes and stuff, is for what reason? Why would I drag my own daughter and myself? To destroy my name and reputation?” she added.
