Rapid response teams have been instituted by Kaduna Electric to help respond to downtime on Band A feeders in Kaduna State.

Kaduna Eksctric had also called on customers to get in touch with the teams to report faults for an instant response.

A statement issued by the company’s Head of Corporate Communication, Abdulazeez Abdullahi, had revealed that the four-member team was set up to cover Doka, Zaria, Rigasa and Barnawa regions, –all of which were in Kaduna State– where the majority of the Band A feeders are located and are to be functional round the clock to ensure prompt clearance of faults and restoration of electricity supply whenever there is a down time.

The statement read:

“Setting up the rapid response team is a part of Kaduna Electric’s efforts to guarantee uninterrupted power supply to the Band A customers whose tariff have just been adjusted.”

The statement had also revealed that the team members names and phone numbers could be found on the company’s website when needed.”

The statement also said that it has been meeting its task of providing up to 20 hours of power supply daily on its Band A feeders in compliance with the stipulations of the Service Based Tariff regime.

The statement finally revealed that efforts were being made to upgrade lower Band feeders to higher bands for a better power supply, warning customers to refrain from indulging in all forms of energy theft and meter tampering as it has taken measures to promptly arrest and prosecute perpetrators.
