Ogun Fatal Accident Claims Lives of Four Beloved Evangelists

The victims have been identified as Evangelist Ayodeji Kekere Jesu, Evangelist Iyanu Joseph, Monjolajesu Oluwapamilerin, and Opeyemi Adesina. The FRSC Ogun State Command confirmed the crash, blaming it on overspeeding and poor visibility. Reports say the impact was massive, and all four ministers died instantly. Evangelist Kekere Jesu was loved for his energetic street preaching and strong presence on social media, especially among youth and rural communities. He was reportedly on his way to a ministry engagement when the accident occurred.

Tributes Pour In for Kekere Jesu and Other Victims of the Ogun Crash

After news of the tragedy broke, social media was flooded with emotional tributes from followers, friends, and fellow ministers. One of the tributes came from Prophet Sam Olu Alo, founder of Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain Ministry, who wrote:
“UNQUESTIONABLE GOD!! Hmmmmnnn…..This is indeed a Rude Shock today. But Who are we to question God.. For His thoughts are higher than our thoughts, and His ways are Higher than our ways… Rest in Peace my beloved brother @ Evangelist Ayodeji David’s [Kekere Jesu].”

Another user, Kenny John, shared his personal grief:

“The accident that occurred on Saturday, April 5th, along the Shagamu–Ibadan Expressway claimed the lives of 22 people. Out of those, four were personally known to me: Prophet Ayodeji, also known as Kekere Jesu, Evangelist Iyanu Joseph, Prophet Ayodeji’s fiancée, and the wife of Prophet Ayodeji’s elder brother. It still feels like a dream. May their souls rest in perfect peace.”

Bottom Line

The tragic Ogun road accident that took the lives of Kekere Jesu and three other gospel ministers has left Nigerians heartbroken. As Nigeria struggles with the loss of its beloved evangelists, the Christian community prays for strength and comfort. The deaths serve as a grim reminder of the dangers on Nigerian roads, especially due to overspeeding and poor road visibility. Many are now calling for better road safety, stricter traffic regulations, and increased awareness. For now, the nation mourns deeply as tributes continue to pour in for these four gospel voices silenced too soon.
