Afrobeats sensation Kizz Daniel has set the official release date for his much-awaited fifth studio album, Uncle K, on May 24, 2025. This comes hot on the heels of the success of his critically-acclaimed four-track EP, TZA, and the single Marhaba.
He made the announcement on his Instagram page on Friday.
Alongside the album release, Kizz Daniel will kick off a worldwide tour, beginning in the United States. The first show will take place at the CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore on May 24, followed by performances at the Smart Financial Center in Houston on May 26, the Fox Theatre in Atlanta on May 30, and The Wiltern in Los Angeles on June 1. Additional dates across the UK, Canada, Australia, Europe, and Africa will be announced, culminating in a major concert in Lagos.
The Uncle K tour will be wild. Kizz Daniel has done sold-out shows in Africa, Europe, and North America. The previous one, Vado at 10 world tour, did go well, and there is more anticipation for the tour to come. Expect high-energy performances of his top hits and new songs from Uncle K.
Since his breakthrough with Woju in 2014, Kizz Daniel has remained one of the leading voices in Afrobeats. His debut album, New Era, won ‘Album of the Year’ at The Headies in 2016, while his 2018 sophomore project, No Bad Songz, topped the iTunes World Album Chart upon release. Over the years, he has continued to dominate the industry with projects like King of Love, Barnabas, Maverick, and TZA, producing fan-favourite hits such as Boys Are Bad, Lie, Rich Till I Die, Showa, Marhaba, and Twe Twe.
Well over 4 billion streams, with two Shazam chart-topping singles and millions of devoted fans worldwide, Kizz Daniel is truly a colossal force in worldwide Afrobeats. With his artistry that traverses Afrobeats, pop, and R&B, he has also made timeless records, from Nesesari to the viral Buga to the feet-tapping Cough (Odo).
In the first half of 2022, he turned out to be the most streamed African artist ever, had Buga ruling the charts all over the place, and even had a gig at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup, sharing the stage with Diplo and Calvin Harris. The following year, he continued his winning streak with his fourth studio album, Maverick, a headline performance at the Essence Festival, and a successful collaboration with Becky G.
It’s definitely assured that with Uncle K, Kizz Daniel is taking his sounds even higher, combining his usual approach with new stuff to accentuate his evolution as an artist. With a new album and world tour, this exciting new chapter in his career now initiates the artist into making his big steps toward settling as an international music powerhouse.
