PSG and France National team striker, Kylian Mbappe has won UNFP trophies Ligue 1 player of the year award for the third time in a row.
Kylian Mbappe had an exceptional season with Paris Saint-German (PSG) making his team win the league title and having 25 goals and 19 assists this season.
He was nominated alongside Martin Terrier, Wissam Ben Yedder, Dimitri Payet, and Lucas Paqueta.
“This recognition warms my heart,” he said on his Twitter page “and of course, thanks to my club and the fans for the trust granted this season”
The UNFP Trophies are awards given by the National Union of Professional Football Players yearly to players, managers, and referees playing in France’s Ligue 1 and Ligue 2.
Other winners of the UNFP trophy are Karim Benzima who was given the award for the Best French player abroad. Gianluigi Donnarumma won the goalkeeper of the year award. Bruno Genesio won the coach of the year award. Mamadou Sakho won the citizen player of the year.
