Before the All Progressives Congress mega event planned to take place on Tuesday at Teslim Balogun Stadium in Lagos, the Lagos State Government has issued a travel advisory.

This was revealed in a statement released on Sunday by Mr. Bolaji Oreagba, general manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority.

The APC presidential candidate, party leaders, members, and supporters, he claimed, would march from the nearby airport to Teslim Balogun Stadium through Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way, Maryland Avenue, and Ikorodu Road.

He stated that Idi-Iroko, Anthony, Obanikoro, Onipanu, Fadeyi, Jibowu (Empire), Moshalashi, Ojuelegba, Barracks, and Stadium would be among the places the procession will pass through.

Oreagba pleaded with drivers to take alternate routes during the march.

He advised drivers to go to Kodesoh, Obafemi Awolowo Way, Kudirat Abiola Way, Old Oregun Road, Ojota, Maryland, and link locations when traveling from the nearby airport to Maryland.

He suggested using Kodesoh, Obafemi Awolowo, Way Secretariat Road to Mobolaji Johnson Avenue (7-Up), Ojota Interchange (Ketu), and connecting to their destinations from the local airport to Ketu-Mile 12.

He claims that even though the parade will be taking place on Ikorodu Road’s main thoroughfare, drivers will still have easy access to the service lane.

He went on to say that drivers could adopt the following strategies to lessen discomfort and travel time both before and during the procession.

Via the Old Toll Gate, Alapere (Ogudu, Iyana Oworo, Third Mainland Bridge, and link to Lagos/Oshodi from Ikorodu via the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Oreagba advised using the Oshodi Bridge, Anthony Bridge, Gbagada, and Iyana Oworo Third Mainland bridges to connect points from the Apapa-Oshodi Expressway to Lagos.

Using Lawanson-Itire Road, Ogunlana Drive, Akerele, Shitta Roundabout, Adeniran Ogunsaya, Bode Thomas, Masha, Adelabu, Census, Babs Animashaun, Bode Thomas, or Doyin, Eric Moore, Abebe Village, Nigerian Breweries, Costain and link destination, he claimed, is possible from Ojuelegba-Surulere.

They might travel from Masha to Kilo, according to the LASTMA boss.

He advised drivers to take Costain, Iponri Estate, Bode Thomas, or Babs Animashaun from Costain to Surulere or from Costain to Abebe Village, Eric Moore, Doyin, Bode Thomas, or Babs Animashaun. Babs Animashaun, connect destinations and conduct the census in the Adelabu area of Masha.

Enough security and law enforcement personnel will be deployed along the whole designated routes to the stadium and other roads to minimize inconvenience and travel time and ensure the safety and security of all road users.
