President Muhammadu Buhari has asked Nigerians to give a hand of fellowship to those who would like to participate in the festivities but are hampered in some way, as Christians join the rest of the world in celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ today.
The President remarked in his Christmas Message to Nigerians that In whatever circumstances we find ourselves, Christmas is a moment when we gather together to rejoice and set aside our differences.
He went on to say that we should never lose sight of the symbiotic relationship that exists between Christmas and hope, Jesus Christ and humility, and Christianity and grace. “In this season of love, joy, and peace, let us not forget those who truly wish to celebrate but are constrained in one way or another by reaching out to them. He charged the celebrants, adding, together we can make this celebration a spectacular one by renewing our pledge and common resolve to work for the unity and prosperity of our dear country.
Buhari promised that Until his last day in office, he would continue to provide political and material support to sub-national governments, the Armed Forces, institutions, and individuals working wholeheartedly for Nigeria’s peace, unity, stability, and progress.
