Not all travelling outside the country is safe, especially for ladies. Some ladies are deceived into traveling outside the country with their sponsors and then end up being used for prostitution. According to the Libyan Observer, the Libyan Criminal Investigation Department revealed that five girls were rescued from a Nigerian human trafficking gang on Sunday.
Sharing a photo, the Libyan Observer said, “The Libyan Criminal Investigation Agency has busted a human smuggling gang from Nigerian and freed 5 Nigerian girls who had been abducted by gang members from their villages in Nigeria and smuggled into the Libyan capital of #Tripoli where they were sold and forced into s€x,”
It further revealed that a 17-year-old girl escaped from the hideout where they were kept, and provided information to the police, the agency immediately raided the hideout and freed the girls they were locked up. The girls were released to the Consul General of the Nigerian Embassy.
The agency is still looking for other members of the gang to arrest them.
