Just after addressing some supporters who gathered at his Campaign office yesterday, over the suspension of the results of Obingwa LGA, which he very much supported and even praised INEC for such a step, owing to the violence that erupted in the LGA, Alex Otti the LP Governorship Candidate for the Abia state elections has been related the winner.
After completing the suspended Collation of results on Wednesday, Alex Otti was declared the winner of the Abia State 2023 elections by the Returning officer, Prof. Nnenna Oti. The announcement was made at the headquarters of the Independent National Electoral Commission in Umuahia.
PDP defeated LP in Obingwa LGA as PDP polled 9, 962 while LP polled 3,776 in the LGA, this didn’t affect LP’s chance of winning the election as LP defeated PDP in 10 LGAs while PDP won in 6 LGAs.
At the end of the day, Otti had 175, 466, while PDP polled 88, 526.
