Nollywood actor, Mike Afolarin has recently spoke about his work and what to expect in the released movie titled; House of Ga’a. During a recent interview with Pulse Nigeria, Afolarin reflected on how the biopic was creatively stimulating for him. He referred to the project as a new challenge as an actor stating, “The fact that this was different from anything I had done before was what made me intrigued. ”Afolarin described this film as his most rewarding in terms of creativity.

Popular for Ajosepo, Soólè, Ajuwaya, and the Netflix series Far From Home, the actor explained the difficulties recorded during the shoot. The actor revealed that half through rehearsals they were told they had to say their lines in Yoruba which he said he could not. However, Afolarin did not let such reaction upset him and took it as a chance to get closer mentally to his character.

House of Ga’a is a historical saga set in the eighteenth-century Oyo Empire and plots the tale of Ga’a, a treacherous and amoral tyrant more than willing to triangulate kings for his purpose. With a cast director Bolanle Austen-Peters, the movie cast include Femi Branch, Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham, Seun Akindele, among others.
