Nigerian rapper Oladips has openly claimed that Wizkid used his lines in his songs without seeking his permission. Oladips said Wizkid incorporated the snippet of his song “Ajala Travel remix” in the song “MMS” which features Asake. The rapper also has provided proofs on Instagram, where he placed several screen shots that illustrates the similarities of these two songs.
When a fan defended that sampling lyrics is normal, Oladips countered saying it is only acceptable to do so when the original artist’s information is used. He expressed his fears stating, “It’s normal if you acknowledge the source! No be say dem go dey pretend like say dem no know you but come dey bite your lyrics for corner. “
As it stands Wizkid has remained silent on these allegations.
