Mr Adebayo Adelabu, the Minister of Power, has eluded death following a plane crash in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital city.
According to reports, the private jet operated by Flint Aero crash-landed on Friday night, November 3, at the Samuel Ladoke Akintola Airport.
Having left the Abuja airport on Friday evening, the aircraft crashed into the bush in an effort to land at about 10 p.m. close to the airport runway in Ibadan.
A security officer at the airport who begged for non-disclosure had confirmed this to Channels Television on Saturday, November 4, stating that while landing, the aircraft had diverted from the runway, leading to a crash into the bush.
The airport personnel had also revealed that there were only two persons on board: the pilot and the Minister of Power, adding that extended findings had revealed that there were no fatalities but the aircraft had been substantially damaged.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau, NSIB, had said that investigations have begun to ascertain the cause of the accident.
