In yet another episode of “wahala no dey finish for Nigeria,” a 43-year-old man named Muhammadu Ali met a rather bizarre and tragic end in Bauchi State. It all started when he decided to put his faith in some mystical juju as a bulletproof shield. As you might guess, things took a rather unfortunate turn.
Muhammadu Ali, a resident of Damaiwa village, ventured into the wild with the company of a native doctor and three others, all for the purpose of testing this charm’s ability to ward off bullets. Yes, you read that right, he was about to become a human guinea pig for a supernatural experiment.
As the story goes, they used a locally-made gun to test the efficacy of this supposed bulletproof juju. However, the charm failed spectacularly, and Muhammadu was fatally shot in the process. The irony is both funny and painfully serious; a man’s life was lost due to misplaced trust in mystical protection.
The Bauchi State Police were quick to respond to this unusual incident. They arrived at the scene, rushed the victim to the hospital, but sadly, a medical doctor confirmed his demise.
Two of the suspects were promptly apprehended, while the others who managed to escape are now being pursued by the long arm of the law. It’s safe to say that this tale has taken an unexpected turn.
The Police Public Relations Officer, Ahmed Wakil, explained, “On October 31, 2023, a native doctor and three others decided to take Muhammadu Ali to a secluded spot to test his invincibility against bullets. Regrettably, things went south when he was shot with a locally-made gun. This bizarre incident prompted a swift police response, and efforts are underway to bring all those involved to justice.”
This whole ordeal serves as a peculiar and somewhat amusing lesson, highlighting the dangers of putting blind faith in mystical powers. The Commissioner of Police, CP Auwal Musa Muhammad, reassures everyone that justice will prevail. In the end, it’s a reminder that even the most potent juju can’t always save you from the unexpected.
