Tracy Walder, a former CIA and FBI special agent said, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Casandra ‘Cassie’ Ventura took a day to reach a settlement agreement— after a lawsuit was filed last year— all because of recently released surveillance video.
What was the video all about?
On the 16th of May, CNN released a disturbing video from 2016 showing popular artist Sean “Diddy” Combs assaulting his then girlfriend, Cassie Ventura at the Intercontinental Hotel in Los Angeles. The footage resembled a scenario described in her lawsuit that accused Diddy of rape, sex trafficking and domestic violence. In the footage, he is seen hitting, kicking and dragging Ms. Ventura in the hotel’s hallway in just a towel that was wrapped round his waist.
According to the complaint, Combs “became extremely intoxicated and punched Ms. Ventura in the face, giving her a black eye”, which prompted her to leave the hotel room. But then he woke up and chased her, screaming.
“He grabbed at her, and then took glass vases in the hallway and threw them at her, causing glass to crash around them as she ran to the elevator to escape,” the lawsuit read.
Cassie Speaks:
“Thank you for all of the love and support from my family, friends, strangers and those I have yet to meet,” Ventura wrote on Instagram Thursday. “The outpouring of love has created a place for my younger self to settle and feel safe now, but this is only the beginning.”
“Domestic Violence is THE issue. It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become. With a lot of hard work, I am better today, but I will always be recovering from my past,” Ventura continued. “Thank you to everyone that has taken the time to take this matter seriously. My only ask is that EVERYONE open your heart to believing victims the first time. It takes a lot of heart to tell the truth out of a situation that you were powerless in.”
Ventura ended her statement with a message to others who are experiencing similar situations, saying: “I offer my hand to those that are still living in fear. Reach out to your people, don’t cut them off. No one should carry this weight alone. This healing journey is never ending, but this support means everything to me. Thank you.”

In as much as it is hard, for the sake of you as a person, your family, your children(if you have any), Leave that relationship. On social media daily, women talk about how hard it is to leave Domestic Violence. The trauma it brings and how hard it is to recover from it and start anew.

@Natalie: Took my mum 25 years to leave. And only then it was bc I could drive.
@Moll????: This! I was stuck in a DV relationship for 3 years because I wasn’t safe enough to leave. Luckily I was fortunate enough to move 30 miles away with the help of a relative I’m now 8 years free ❤️
Comments like these have only one purpose which is to tell women to LEAVE! It’s going to be a long hard drive but at the end, you’ll reach your destination. Once a man starts being violent, it’s already a glaring RED Flag. The moment he starts beating you, there’s no going back or stopping him and he would keep beating you till you drop dead. No man is worth dying for.
I love this! No man is worth dying for.
This is really good.
