Pelumi Nubi, a brave adventurer and content creator, has arrived in Nigeria after completing an epic solo road trip all the way from London! News of her arrival spread quickly, and she was met with a hero’s welcome at the border between Nigeria and Benin.

Government officials from Lagos State, including the Commissioner of Tourism, Arts and Culture, greeted Pelumi. Her journey then continued to Badagry, a historic town in Nigeria, before reaching the University of Lagos for a special homecoming celebration.

Speaking to reporters, Pelumi expressed her joy at being back. “It feels incredible to be home,” she beamed. “The welcome has been so amazing and warm. Nigeria is truly my home, and this is beyond anything I expected. Thank you so much to everyone who supported me, and I can’t wait for the celebration at the University!”

The journey wasn’t always smooth sailing. Pelumi bravely faced a car accident along the way. In March, she shared a photo on social media showing the damage to her car, including a broken windshield. Thankfully, she received medical attention and continued her trip.

Her father spoke about the stress of following her adventure from afar. “We worried constantly,” he admitted. “While everyone was enjoying her travel content, we were filled with anxiety for her safety.” Thankfully, her arrival brought immense relief to the family.

Pelumi’s mother, however, revealed that she had supported her daughter’s decision from the start. “Pelumi has always been adventurous,” she explained. “She’s already visited over 80 countries! This trip was her choice, and I believe in her.”

Pelumi’s motivation for this epic drive was to inspire others. “I wanted to show people that this kind of travel is possible,” she shared. “I especially want to inspire young people, particularly those who look like me, to chase their dreams and explore the world!”

This incredible journey has come to a triumphant end. Pelumi, a role model for aspiring travelers everywhere, has proven that with courage and determination, anything is possible!
