The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) announced on Tuesday that six ships are currently waiting to dock at Lagos ports.
According to the NPA’s “Daily Shipping Position,” two of these vessels are expected to dock with diesel, while the remaining vessels will carry containers, fuel oil, aviation fuel, and crude oil.
In its statement, the NPA noted, “A ship is presently waiting to dock with cargo. Two other ships are waiting to discharge petrol and crude oil.”
Additionally, the NPA reported that four ships are waiting to dock at the Lekki Deep Sea Port. These ships are carrying bulk clinker, fuel oil, containers, and aviation fuel.
This update highlights the ongoing activity and traffic at Nigeria’s major ports, reflecting the critical role these ports play in the nation’s supply chain and energy sector. The variety of cargo expected emphasizes the diversity of imports essential for the country’s economy.
