The senator representing Enugu East Senatorial District, Chimaroke Nnamani, has broadcast his exit from the Peoples Democratic Party after his loss to Labour Party candidate, Kelvin Chukwu.
The ex-Enugu State governor’s formal exit from the opposition party had been contained in a statement he signed on Monday, 20 March.
According to Nnamani, he had consulted with his associates and constituents alike and had decided to quit the PDP on account of irreconcilable differences with the party.
The former governor had additionally governor thanked Nigerians, particularly the Ebeano political family, and urged them to remain steadfast in the years ahead.
