U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken’s recent comments on the relationship between North Korea and Russia faced condemnation from North Korea’s foreign ministry, as reported by state media KCNA on Saturday.
The ministry asserted that Blinken’s statements serve to heighten political and military tensions on the Korean Peninsula.
Blinken had expressed concern about the increasing military collaboration between North Korea and Russia, describing it as a “two-way street” involving the exchange of arms and technical support.
In response, North Korea’s foreign ministry urged the U.S. to acknowledge the evolving reality of DPRK-Russia relations, emphasizing that the cooperative ties between the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) and Russia, centered on independence, peace, and friendship, will continue to strengthen despite external opinions.
