Northern senators, particularly those elected on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have promised to revolt against the party if the controversial zoning template for leadership of the 10th National Assembly was not revised.
The senator that had threatened to revolt included the Governor of Zamfara State and Senator-elect, Abdulaziz Yari, and the entirety of the Northern states.
Senator Yari had made this threat when some Senate presidency aspirants visited the National Working Committee, NWC, of the APC, on Thursday, May 11 in Abuja.
Meanwhile, the 18 senators-elect from the North-Central geo-political zone have additionally protested against the template and have lambasted the exclusion of the zone from the arrangement.
