Muhammad Bello Muazu, the Commandant, of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Zamfara State command, had stated that the media remains the only hope for the average man as the date for the 2023 general polls draws nearer.
The Commandant had made this announcement during a workshop titled, “Capacity building and the role of media in news reportage in the 2023 general elections” which had been organized by the NSCDC state command.
“Whatever information made available to the public can either create confidence or cause panic therefore, it is sacrosanct for the media to ignore breaking news that could demoralize individuals and embrace news that will bring hope and confidence to the common man in the street.”
Muazu had also assured the general public that his state command was up to the task to provide maximum security during and after the polls.
